Smrekar Memorial Award to Russ Delozier at the organization\u2019s annual membership meeting on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in Dalton, GA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CRI hosted industry and community leaders at the 2019 CRI\nAnnual Membership Meeting to present the award along with new board members for\n2020 for the carpet industry\u2019s trade association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFrom everyone at CRI, we are grateful for Russ\u2019s dedication\nand the expertise he brings as a volunteer,\u201d said CRI President Joe Yarbrough.\n\u201cHis participation is vital to many key committees and has been invaluable to\nCRI in support of the carpet industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Joseph J. Smrekar Memorial Award was established by\nMilliken &amp; Company in 1998 to honor the late Dr. Joe Smrekar who\nvolunteered on many CRI committees. Dr. Smrekar set the standard for service to\nThe Carpet and Rug Institute and the carpet industry. CRI staff members choose\nthe recipient of the annual award. Philip Ivey of Milliken &amp; Company made\nthe presentation of this year\u2019s award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event also allows the trade association to inform the\npublic on CRI and industry activities.
