CRI 204\nand 205 highlight the best ways to maintain carpet and its appearance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 204 and 205 standards are\navailable as a free download on the CRI website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpet-rug.org\/cleaning\">www.carpet-rug.org\/cleaning<\/a>, in multiple formats for access on all mobile devices. The\nstandards also have permanent, mobile-friendly websites at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.CRI204.info\">www.CRI204.info<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.CRI205.info\">www.CRI205.info<\/a>, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The standards were developed by the\nCleaning Maintenance Standards Task Group through 2018 and 2019 with the\nguidance of representatives from the carpet manufacturing and carpet cleaning\nindustries to develop the best standards for cleaning and maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur task group developed these\nstandards from scratch through their knowledge and expertise on cleaning and\nmaintenance,\u201d Yarbrough said. \u201cWe are thankful for their commitment and\ndiligence in this project.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CRI 204 (Commercial) standard\nwill have added significance as it will be submitted for inclusion in NSF\/ANSI\n140 Sustainability Assessment for Carpet, a sustainability standard developed\nby the carpet industry in collaboration with the National Sanitary Foundation\n(NSF) and certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The standards will also have a\nSpanish translation available later in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cleaning standards are the next\nstep of standard development for The Carpet and Rug Institute following the\nhighly successful CRI 104\/105 Carpet Installation Standards released in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on the CRI 204\nand 205 cleaning standards, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpet-rug.org\/cleaning\">www.carpet-rug.org\/cleaning<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About The Carpet and Rug Institute<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CRI is the leading industry source\nfor science-based information and insight on how carpet and rugs create a\nbetter environment for living, working, learning, and healing.
